March 2015 visits reached all time high
Cross-platform traffic to Auto Trader has continued to rise reaching 543 million in FY15 up from 360 million visits in FY12, and 525 million only a year earlier (FY14). In March this year visits reached an all time high peaking at nearly 52 million.
Audience growth continues to be fuelled by the use of smartphone and tablets which now account for 68% of all visits to Auto Trader up from 66% only a month earlier. These devices are becoming increasingly important as people are looking to research whatever they want, whenever they want and wherever they want. Technology has and will continue to completely change the way consumers and retailers buy and sell vehicles.
As a result of this growth in cross platform visits, Auto Trader has continued to see a significant increase in full page ad views, rising to 267 million in March alone, representing an 8.1% rise year-on-year.
